Intro to Aerial: Foundations for Strength, Support & Longevity

Intro to Aerial: Foundations for Strength, Support & Longevity

A 2-Day Aerial Yoga Camp
 Saturday, April 18 & Sunday, April 19

This 2-day camp in the tranquil forest at Providence Hill Farm is designed to introduce a supportive way of moving that helps reduce joint pressure, gently decompress the spine, and build deep strength.

What the Hammock Actually Does

When you're suspended, even partially, something shifts. The spine has room to lengthen. The hips release. Muscles that have been bracing for years begin to soften.

This camp teaches you how to use that support confidently, how to build deep strength, improve balance, and restore mobility.

There are no tricks. No pressure to push past your edge. Just clear instruction, time to practice, and space to have fun experiencing something new.

About the Camp

Over two days, you’ll be guided step by step through:

  • how to safely use the hammock for support and stability

  • simple, effective ways to reduce pressure on joints

  • gentle spinal decompression and lengthening

  • how to build deep strength without overexertion

  • improved balance and coordination with support

We’ll also incorporate breath and awareness, keeping the practice regulating for the nervous system.

Saturday: Foundations + Skill

We build the base.

You’ll learn how to safely enter, exit, and move with the hammock. Each skill is broken down clearly with time to practice, rest, and understand what your body is doing.

By the end of the day, you'll feel at home in the hammock.

Sunday: Integration + Restoration

We slow it down.

Using what you learned, we shift into supported opening, gentle decompression, and deeper rest. This allows your body to absorb the work and experience the full benefit of the practice.

We’ll close with a guided, supported rest in the hammock. Suspended in nature. Held in stillness.

The Bigger Picture

Lasting change doesn't come from intensity. It comes from returning, again and again, to something that actually feels good.

This camp gives you a foundation to come back to. Simple movement, conscious breath, body awareness. The kind of practice that keeps working long after the weekend ends.
